I like the 'warp speed' grille. It is different and different is good. Challenging the status quo and keeping competition sharp is what we should be looking for.

Got it. The Lexus double standard exists on Club Lexus.
Lexus' "different" =/= looking like this. It can't really be a double standard if you're comparing two completely different things...

I actually like the warp speed grille too. I can see it being controversial though. Hence I stopped short of giving it the very gorgeous descriptor to avoid confrontation.

Wink BreakDown

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz Concept A appears to be, quite literally, all show and no go. At its big debut at the Shanghai Motor Show, the car eschewed its 200-horsepower BlueEfficiency powerplant in favor of a 4-suitpower unit, courtesy of Mercedes brass. After a star-studded introduction, including a version of Janis Joplin's "Mercedes-Benz" by rapper David Banner and English pop singers Estelle and Daley, the car broke down before hitting the stage.

That made for a seriously awkward few seconds, as 4 Mercedes execs, dressed to the nines in designer suits, had to push the car onto the stage. That embarrassing spectacle put a bit of a damper on the hype surrounding the highly-anticipated premium compact.

The 2011 Concept A is likely to donate around 85% of its styling to the 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which is slated to debut next year. There's even talk of a 350-horsepower AMG version sometime thereafter. We have to admit we're excited to meet the all-new A-Class, but that's based on the assumption that it will move under its own power.

They are just informing future customers of the best way to push the car they will be pushing next year when it breaks down

Maybe a way to save gas?

LOL.......is like we told you this would happen when we unveiled it and you still bought one, so don't be so surprise and blame us now that it is happening to your own car! We did a full disclosure!

Yes, the greenest car ever, human power! As long as you keep pushing, it gets unlimited miles per gallon! You want 2 more miles of range? Just push it 2 more miles!

350 HP AMG Version? Possible 1 Series M Coupe Killer?

I wonder if Lexus will ever go this route. Make a car smaller than the IS (albeit, there is the CTh, but it's a hybrid), and just make an F version of it?

Giving it between 300-350hp, would be sick.

If they make a car smaller then the current IS, no one would fit in it

^lol, true.

Well, isn't the CTh already smaller than the IS?

They could make a CTF version of the car, and give it 300-350hp. But they would have to change the drivetrain from fwd to rwd.

Or, they would just make a 2-door (4 seat) hatchback, shaped like the CTh, but slightly smaller, rwd, and fast!
