Lexus, Toyota Motor Corp’s luxury brand has been working on new models of its GS and LS sedans lately. The LS is thought to debut sometime around 2013. The LS is a car that rivals the Mercedes Benz S Class. Now, it has been heard that Nissan might be coming with their luxury brand, Infiniti, to India.
We haven’t heard any official word from Toyota yet about the introduction of Lexus to the Indian premium market but, if brands like Infiniti do come to India, it will be wise for Toyota to think about Lexus as a premium product for the lucrative high-end spectrum of the Indian car market. The LS 460, could be powered by the 1UR-FSE 4.6L engine delivering 385 ps @ 6400 rpm. The max torque claimed is 51.0 kgm and the estimated fuel efficiency is 11.8 km/L.
Some of these Japanese mags like Best Car are always doing artists speculations (most of them are complete make believe) but I would be perfectly happy with that being the next LS.
This chop went around the net last week...no way that's the new LS.
I agree. In the images, at least (maybe due to the camera angle and an optical illusion), it looks too small to me to be an LS, at least for the American-market.
This is what I was thinking as well. But if you look to the left of the car, you see in small text 460 and 600h. This artist rendering of an LS seems to befit the ES alot more.
If you guys havent noticed, that is a chop of the current LS with a new front end. Everything from the A pillar rearward is... quite literally... the LS 460.
