This past weekend a buddy of mine presented an amazing opportunity: Drive a CLS63 (pre-production car), SL63, E63, and a C63 around a closed course set up by the AMG driving school...all for free
. Here are the pics:

My favorite car overall: CLS63. The styling is absolutely on point in my opinion. I feel like its an amalgamation of the current CLS and the S. The interior is gorgeous (similar to new E) and essentially has everything you want and all the buttons in all the right places. Seats were very comfortable and the active bolsters were a cool feature when taking turns. Which brings me to my next point which is this car handles like a ****. I never felt I was loosing control throwing it around turns (at speeds I would NEVER do in our LS) and it felt quite nimble for such a huge car. Obviously in a straight line it throws your head back (5.5 V8 biturbo) and the brakes are fantastic. Braking was always smooth and that is something I really admired about all the AMG cars.
My favorite car around the track: C63. The car is very nimble and a ton of fun to through around. Its very quick. The interior is kind of crap compared to the rest of the cars and to me that was a turn off, but if you wanted a track AMG car this would be the clear winner.
Car I would love to own: SL63. I currently drive an SC so clearly I'm biased for a hardtop convertible. Its fast and gets the job done. Its the king of hardtops IMO. I would love to have this car as a cruiser, though to be honest it did not impress me around the track (maybe they should have let the top down
) and is the slowest in a line (by about .1-.2 sec) compared to the rest of the cars. The other cars packed a meaner punch in my opinion and I was not blown away by the acceleration of the car, but I will say the handling was fine.

Yea they chose some peculiar colors for the cars...but I guess they were made to beat on though the funny thing is all the cars were fully loaded...
The SLS is a sweet car again color was eh (I would chose Silver / Red if I could)...the roof is VERY low and you feel very claustrophobic when the doors are closed. Its very difficult to get in and out of as there is literally a one foot gap which raised about 5" (from the inside) you have to step over to get into the tiny cockpit. Furthermore, the roof is very low and I don't think you could manage above 6'1" and the center of the roof is awkwardly depressed. I LOVE the look of the car but it was very difficult to fit in the car and I'm average build around 5'11"...
Thanks to everyone for the kind words...it was an amazing opportunity...
