Default I hate crazy hot million dollars concept cars!

I hate crazy hot million dollars concept cars! They are nothing but a giant lie, deception and false advertising, they should be illegal.

So they show this drop dead gorgeous car that suppose to represent what you will be buying, then water it down by 100 times for production, that is so lame.

I will try to find some classic before (concept) and after (production) pics of all the giant lies:

^^ While I agree the concept was near perfect I don't think the production was that far off.
I love concepts. leaves to the imagination and many the future design of the company.

As an example the Ferrari Rossa was shown years ago and to this day you can see cues in new Ferraris from it.

Note the exposed tailights they now use today!

The worse is low end economy cars, they look like a million dollar Bugatti at concept stage, then become a run of the mill econobox when it hit production

I bet you the production FT86 will just looks like a Tc

100% agree.

And "I put money where my mouth is" as they say, when I first saw the Boxster concept.

I like the trend these days of concepts giving a clue to future production models.

Higher end cars are water down less

Showing future design direction is nice, I just feel that they are rubbing it in, is like your car could look like this if you are rich, but since you are not, you get the water down version

Concept like these is so wrong, is like your car can look like this if you spend $300k on it, but since you are only spending $20k, it looks like cheap crap.

I think the biggest let-down with concept cars is not the exterior, but rather the interiors that get pooped upon for production.

Just FYI - the LF-S was not the forbearer for the production 3GS, so that's not necessarily a good comparison.

Well there is a difference in concepts. Some are concepts that are near production ready. Some are just for fun and to showoff a new tech or what the company can do. Some show a new styling direction.

Not all concepts are the same.

Concept

Production

lol

And by far the worst concept of maybe all time
