The Mustang is already smaller and lighter than either the Camaro or Challenger......that is one reason why it handles so well, even with a live axle. Most (not necesarily all) Mustang/Camaro/Challenger comparisons and contests in the auto magazines have the Mustang coming out on top.

OK then, we'll stick a small four-cylinder under the hood, like the mid-70s Mustangs. That should lighten it up quite a bit.

I am very happy to hear. The incessant weight gain in cars over the last 30 years has been amazing. I know these manufacturers could have done this earlier but it simply was not cost effective. Now they have no choice
