Default 2011 Honda Civic vs Mini Copper

I need a daily driver and I can't decide which car to get. I don't want to spend to much but I thought about a Honda Civic or a Mini Copper. Surprisingly the Mini gets way better gas mileage. I'm looking for opinions.

do you already have the civic? Or are you buying a civic or mini and an IS-F or Z06?

If you already have the civic might as well keep it.

Gotcha... I'd probably go with the civic for a daily.

I have a Civic as a daily. It's good on gas, reliable, cheap on maintenance, decent insurance costs, and is bigger/roomier.

I'm still trying to figure out why you can't buy an IS-F and daily drive it.

It'll use more gas than a civic, but not the cost of a second car more in gas... and it'll be a lot nicer to drive around in than the civic too.

Somehow I'm missing how this thread relates to the second gen IS250/350.

Kurtz is completely correct. If you were able to consider the IS-F, why don't you just buy that and daily drive it. A lot of people daily drive their IS-F.

In addition, the civic is a good $9k less than the mini. Thats a huge price difference, especially when your using it for a daily. My vote would be for the civic though

Mini S is a fun car, super charged and gets 32 mpg. My wife has one and fun to drive with a 6 spd. We got it dropped a little on Tien springs, feels like driving a go cart especially of fast turns or canyon driving in the mountains.
