I assume hail damaged many cars this week?
I am going to assume hail has hit many SE dealerships with the awful storms this week. Those that sell Japanese imports did not need any more bad news and now they probably have damaged inventory. We know they already had dwindling inventory. Surely many other brands were hit with hail but they seem to be having better inventory since they were hardly affected by the Earthquake.

Hail wasn't the only car-damaging problem with these storms. You also had falling tree-branches, wind-blown and falling debris hitting them, and, of course, flash-flooding from the heavy rains. Any water-damage is probably worse than the hail, because it penetrates and corrodes many more areas of the car. Hail damages sheet metal/glass and that's about it.
BTW, after this round of storms (and the other ones this April), don't be surprised if auto and home insurance rates go up.....the insurance companies are going to be hit with a LOT of claims, and they are going to pay out a lot of money.
