Default Toyota/Lexus increase Euro sales by 13% 1QT 2011

Toyota has reported a 13 per cent increase in new car sales for Toyota and Lexus models in Europe for the first quarter of this year. Toyota reports that monthly vehicle sales have consistently exceeded targets since June 2010.

Toyota’s overall monthly sales in March surpassed the 100,000 mark for the first time since March 2009, with increased demand for Toyota’s Aygo, Auris, RAV4 and Land Cruiser. Toyota claims that the new Toyota Verso-S and Lexus CT 200h also made strong debuts in the first quarter of 2011.

Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicles sales were up 28 per cent from 2010. March also saw Toyota’s global hybrid sales reach the three million mark. In Ireland, Toyota sales have increased by 28 per cent in the first quarter over 2010 while Lexus sales have increased 62 per cent over the same period.

CT200h proves to be runaway success in Europe, with members now reporting up to 10 month waiting period for the car. Sucks for the quake!

Just got spanish Lexus numbers April 2011:
Lexus CT200h 243
Lexus IS 50
Lexus GS 7

LS and RX were out of top 30 in their categories so no numbers, i would guess around IS numbers for RX and GS numbers for LS.

Great news! A boost to Toyota and Lexus sales in Europe is very welcome news. Looks like the CT will be a nice hit for Lexus in Europe .

Great news for Lexus. So basically Lexus needs to sell a bunch of 140hp 40-50 MPG tiny 2/3/4/5 door hybrids in Europe.

ih they manage to get 250h, 300h and 350h powertrains for Europe, they might really get increased sales for 2013 IS and 2012 GS.
