you're gonna go through so much trouble for not a lot in return. you are not making any savings and even though it is a nicer car, it's a civic.

The emissions would be the biggest issue for smogging, registration, license, etc. I also wonder which dealers would agree to honor the warranty. Clarically, U.S. dealers are not set up to handle this model, even though it uses similar parts.
Based on only seeing only one CSX in the U.S since the mid-90's, I'd have to conclude the idea does not work. If it did, we'd see many more Canada cars on U.S. roads.

I say that if you want for it, then go for it. The Civic FD is IMHO one of the last Honda vehicles that are designed nicely. With the new 9th gen Civic, so far, the design looks to have taken a step back. Quote me if I'm wrong but so far, the exterior design looks ****tier now unfortunately
If you want to do it, then go ahead. If you need to replace the Acura grille, then you can always get the FD front grille from many places (anywhere in the world).
P.S.
You can also try the Nissan X-trail or a Nissan Micra/March (K12)
They sell quite a lot of them in Canada
