Ford wages average $8/hour higher than non-union and foreign rivals

I know people who work a UAW plants. It is really $20-28 an hour depending on seniority, shift, etc. They do not make anywhere near $58 an hour. Most of the cost per worker is retiree pension, current worker pension, benefits, union fees, etc. I don't think their hourly wage should be cut since it is a decent middle class income and not excessive, the cuts should fall on some of the excessive healthcare/benefits they receive which I doubt the workers would miss too much. If you think what UAW workers get paid is too high then don't look into what German autoworkers get paid.
