I like where your head is at. The revised 2.0L from Subaru might be the perfect engine for them to pair with a hybrid drive.

I agree with you, though, that I'd still like to see some hybrid Subarus. SOA has been promising diesels, for the last few years, here in the American market, but we still haven't seen any.
highway ratings in these new cars are hard to get anyway... combined is a lot harder too.

Subaru diesel is so expensive, that they dont offer it in half of european countries... and thats without all the stuff needed for US sales.

Btw, current Subaru diesels require that it be mated to a manual transmission (as their automatic gearbox cannot handle the added torque of the boxer diesel).

So, they can't offer it yet in the American market without a slushbox. Otherwise, selling a diesel variant now over there would be pointless.

lets differentiate things a bit.

It will have 12 mile EV range with 0 mpg and it will also have 50mpg normal hybrid mode.
Yeah, I just read that at the Toyota website; damn. I was getting my hopes up for nothing.

Well, might as well wait and see the specs for the Prius C. The concept looks nice, hopefully the production model does too.
