Report: Aging Chevy Impala gets standard 302-hp V6 for 2012

^^ seriously. I understand that the compact and midsize sedan markets are more important at the moment (ie Cruze and Malibu) for GM, but IMO this does not excuse GM for neglecting the Impala for so long. Even the already redesigned Ford Taurus full size sedan will get a refresh for 2012 as a 2013 model. Toyota's Avalon surely has something in the pipeline around the same time. And Hyundai's Genesis is on top of its game. With all this waiting around, they better have one hell of a full sized sedan up their sleeve (although I'm not holding my breath)

an inline v6 is... an engine block in a V shape with 3 cylinders 'inline' on each bank as opposed to a inline flat6
