BMW 1 Series M faces off against Audi TT RS on track

Here's a matchup made in heaven. The crew from Motor Sport Magazine took the time to pit the BMW 1 Series M Coupe against a fitting rival – the Audi TT RS. The two German sports coupes go fender-to-fender on track, and thanks to a few well-placed video cameras, we get to ride along for the action. There's plenty of tail-wiggling glory from the smallest of the M family, but the TT RS seems more than capable of keeping the pace. With 340 horsepower to the 335 ponies of the TT RS, the 1 Series M Coupe has a slight power edge, but with all four wheels pulling in the Audi, the two are fit rivals.

Liked the TT RS MUCH better... yet the 1M was shown about 2x as much in the video

I had an interest in the 1M... TT RS rocks it!!!!!

Never watched it all the way through cuz of the Infiniti in the mix...has no place being in this competition.

That said, disagree "the BMW is the clear winner" at the end... if I lived in the south, maybe, but I don't so... AWD evens the field up in the frozen tundra

Comes down to looks and preferences... I've seen the 1M now in person and the TTS several times and TT RS looks much more intimidating than the TTS.... still would rock the TT RS over the 1M

of course BMW wins.......its a CAR & DRIVER test

I think the 1 looks a little feminine, but my wife won't even buy one (she still has her 08 TT)
