congrats elantra. overall it's pretty predictable, and overall, the market for these vehicles will never hear of, let alone read, this comparison, so it will have no impact on the market.

Yes, but the list is helpful for those given rental car choices.

Aston is such a low-volume make, though, that they don't even run a display at the annual D.C. Auto Show.
Really? that's too bad. With the addition of the Rapide, Vantage S, and Virage of late, they have plenty of eye candy, what with the DBS and DB9 and the ultra rare One-77. From a financial stand point I understand why they aren't included in the show, but its too bad because these are such beautiful cars that often get overlooked by Ferrari and Lambo. But then maybe that makes AM's that much more special

AM cars were on display at San Jose car show this year (behind ropes and people were escorted in a couple at a time), not that it matters much in this thread.

Yes and what a laughable statement for them to make. It kind of discredits their entire review of the Elantra.

Here, I disagree. IMO, the CT is too small, rides too firmly, has too much road noise, and is too difficult for large people to get in out of to be a Lexus. Yes, the IS-F, a Lexus product, rides harshly, but it is a purpose-designed sport-sedan.....the CT isn't.
For an entry Lexus it's fine. The cheapest Lexus does not have to be LS460 refined, have you been in a 3 series?

One word... BLAND. Not worth its premium price tag

I agree it's somewhat off-topic. I was replying to what another poster brought up about the AM Cygnet's interior compared to those small sedans mentioned in this comparison.

Interesting, though, that AM spent some money for the SJC show. I can't definitely say that they weren't at D.C. this year......just that I don't remember seeing them. But they definitely don't make a pattern of it.

I reviewed a new Elantra GLS sedan today. Currently writing it up.......should have it posted tomorrow (maybe late tonight).

A good small sedan, but not without some small annoyances. It generally deserves its high rating here by Motor Trend.
