10 most disappointing cars of 2011

This list is misleading. Most of the vehicles displayed here have already been on the market for several years. With such a title, the vehicles considered should have been all new for 2011. That would have been more relavant and more challenging to identify. Otherwise, any auto enthusiast could list out failed cars from the last few years. In other words, this is old news we've gone over before in various threads.

So F-150 sales dropped by 400k, Tundra sales dropped by 20k.

What criteria were used?
How did the author decide on these 10 models as the most disappointing ones for 2011? (And is it too soon to decide a 10-best list for 2011? Why not wait until the end of the year?) What criteria did he use? Was it sales numbers? Sales in comparison with manufacturer's expectations or his own (or other critics' expectations)? Sales since introduction? Sales since the beginning of 2011 (model year or calendar year)?
(Critics often have their own expectations and if a particular vehicle does not "measure up", the critics like to blame the manufacturer for not meeting the critics' expectations. That seems -- to me -- to be what has happened with the Tundra and the various BMW "failures".)
This seems to be a very personal -- very subjective -- article. Without describing the criteria, we here could list any model, just because we do not like it.
What about the Honda Crosstour? What about the Nissan Titan? (If the Tundra is there, why not the Titan? Oh, yeah, I forgot -- there has to be a token Toyota/Lexus/Scion model in any and all of these lists.) So, how about the "badly in need of an update" Camry, or Corolla? What about Dodge or Chrysler small and mid-size models (name your "favourite" here).
