Report: Updated Hyundai Genesis Coupe to debut at 2012 Detroit Auto Show
Hyundai has put the Genesis Coupe on an extreme weight-lifting regime. The result? A new look and more power. The current 3.8-liter V6 Genesis Coupe produces 306-horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Expect the next-generation car to carry the same 333-horsepower, 291 pound-feet of torque-producing mill as found in the 2012 Genesis Sedan. No word yet on improved power figures for the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-pot, which currently produces 210-horsepower and 223 pound-feet of torque.
We're sure more details on both updated powerplants will be emerging soon enough; we'll get to see both versions of the updated Genesis Coupes when Hyundai pulls off the wraps at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

I hope its done well. The original Genesis coupe looked too much like an updated Tiburon to me. Make it more luxurious and resemble more the Genesis sedan. Great bargain, these Genesis cars. Too bad Hyundai doesn't have the finances or just doesn't want to start a new luxury mark. Alas, I saw an Equus sitting on the lot next to a couple of Sonatas and Elantras...

They are getting really aggressive. The styling is already on point. With the added power and torque as well as some interior and chassis refinements and this car will sell itself on test drives.
