This thread also makes me think of my very first new car purchase and that made me think of my first really cool car purchase. For me my first new car was a 71 Super Beetle. My first really cool car was a 66 Impala SS396. What say ye?

I have a neighbor, probably 70 years old or so, still has his first car, Triumph TR3 in beautiful shape. Doesn’t drive it often, mostly in the Summer as I live in New England. Always was impressed he kept it for close to 50 years. The guys a car buff, still races a BMW 5 series. Good thread.

I remember once a few years ago my manager got hacked on Facebook, she was 72 and we all got a message "from her" "click here to see my sexy pics", and one person in my office was complaining that he got hacked from that...which means he clicked to see her sexy pics LOL.

My first car was a 1955 Chevrolet bought in 1959 for $750. Unfortunately it was not the fancy 2 tone Bel Air coupe with the V-8. It was a 210 two door sedan with a "blue flame" six and a 3 speed manual trans. The only options on it were turn signals and a heater.

I traded it in 1963 for a new Pontiac LeMans convertible with a 326 V-8.

I posted in this thread nearly 11 years ago. I still have my 1993 Lexus SC300. It doesn’t get driven much because my radio got stolen out out of it and I need a new alternator. It should be back in business this summer once I get the new alternator and install my new car audio stuff.

My first car was a 1978 Ford Pinto. I was rear ended pretty hard shortly after I bought it. Lucky it did not explode.
