If I say I've seen 10 Genesis' on the road this year, that would be an exaggeration.

I saw one yesterday on RT80.
Very few around here probably because of the RWD.

In socal, I'm surprised I don't see a lot more.

I saw a black R spec once and it looks pretty good actually, better than the new M37/56

I drove a Genesis 5.0 R today, WOW.......shockingly good. Other then it looking much less fancy then a GS460 inside and out, driving dynamic and refinement wise, I can't feel any difference compare to a GS460. It feels exactly like a GS460 with 100 more hp.

If I am Lexus, I would be worry.

I am happy to know no matter how broke I get, I can always afford a 5.0L V8 430 hp 8-speeds semi luxury car It is great to be a car enthusiast today, 10~20 years ago, those are exotic car's specs, today you can get it in a cheap Hyundai that feels better and can smoke an old school exotics

Word on the street with Hyundai dealers is that they are not moving or ordering almost any of the R Spec models. Not exactly surprised with the price/performance being beyond the realm of what is necessary for most folks, but after the lackluster reviews and now poor sales at the start, I'm wondering how Hyundai will gauge the success of this car.

@BNR34

Question: Does the 5.0 R-spec sedan have paddle shifters?

That's awesome, that means very few people want a 5.0 R-Spec, that means it will depreciate like crazy, umm.......... a 5 years old 20k miles mint condition Korean GS500 for $16k sounds perfect!
