When I was learning to drive, we had Driver's Ed in High School, and as long as you were enrolled in the class and 15 1/2 years old, they just gave you the permit. I think if you wanted it and weren't in driver's ed though, you had to take a test. The class was 2 terms(or half the school year), and then at the end you took the test to get your license. That was it. I didn't study one bit and i still passed. It's not hard at all. Anybody who ever fails a driver's test is a retard, plain and simple(btw, my best friend failed. I gave him so much ****). They've since changed the law in Utah, and you can now get your permit at 15 instead of 15 1/2, without being in driver's ed. I don't know if you have to take a test.

Also, you have a lexus waiting for you when you turn 16? Lucky kid. I started with a beater, and my kids will too, regardless of whether i make 20k a year or 300k.
