Oh and that MMC facelift on the Avensis really improved the front grille (which was something that many people complained about of the older pre-facelift unit).

They should bring that car to ASEAN. Hey, they export this to Japan (yeah from Toyota UK Derbyshire to Japan, then they just install the radio unit in Japan).

Avensis is more expensive but smaller than Camry.... it is between Lexus and Toyota, so maybe Camry is an better fit for world markets.

here is Wagon... which is better looking actually... imho, probably one of the best looking wagons on the market in Europe. Upcoming facelift improves the front (first pic above is from facelift), which had slight issue with weird lights. But in general, Avensis looks much better in real life than in pics.

here she is . New images leaked. No more guessing. In my opinion it looks way to similar to the last generation but I think they are playing it safe with their best seller

Wow that Avensis looks really good. Wish they would offer that car here in the states. I would definitely take the wagon

While I like the look of the Avensis (premium look with the right wheels, perfect size), I'm sure it would not sell as well as the Camry in the US. Americans spend a lot more time and miles in cars, and our market wants something big and plain...something we won't mind putting a lot of wear and tear on.

Still would be nice to have a model like the Avensis sold in the US.

Here is the JDM version

Manufacturer: Toyota United Kingdom
Option installation and Radio HU retrofitting: Tahara Factory, Aichi, Japan (yeah the place where they make Lexus vehicles)

The Avensis has a very ugly front end, among the ugliest I've seen.

Then the Venza wouldn't be selling as much. We might as well just have a Camry wagon. The Venza is a heightened "wagon" crossover while the Avensis is a low sitting wagon based on a standard sedan. Americans are much more into crossovers than traditional wagons. Partly the image thing, but also the feeling of more utility.

I personally find it neat........though yeah, the most common design complaints were of the front-end.

Hopefully, they *may* have fixed it with the MMC facelift.

I'd say that they did in fact fix the headlights going by the photo above. The headlights are much less "tall" in this photo and look much more sleek.

even in fmc, avensis looked fine on the road... wagon looks really good.
Only in the pics it looks weird.

but in reality, Avensis appeals to the same demographics as Camry, just in Europe.
It was in fact built and designed for 40+ population.

Only difference is that it is sold in Europe, and you guys dont see it so it looks "cool".
Just like Camry in Europe looks good, when I see it once in a while.

Of course Avensis is much more expensive, it is TSX competition, so it has much better materials inside than Camry.
