Toyota Dealer Meeting Las Vegas (2012 Camry is Coming!)

was that video from the las vegas meeting? Looks more like an auto show than a meeting. haha
yeah...it looks pretty boring to me too at least the side profile. I was hoping for more of a sleeker feel to it, ala sonata

But that said the shape of this camry seems boxy - looks a bit like the profile of the HS250h which is a car that's not going to win any styling awards.
Still, these are blurry shots and maybe the details are better. Plus even if it is boxy, they could always compete on the amazing handling and interior.

One thing that does look good in the video is that the wheels appear to be quite large and fill the wheel wells, and also their is not a huge gap above the wheel which suggests a lower and tighter suspension setup.

From those spy shots, that doesn't look very appealing, hopefully better pictures will make it some what attractive

it looks like Toyota!
otherwise doesnt look like old Camry much... blow up pics make it interesting.
I could care less about coupe shape, give me back space and trunk. Same goes for next gen GS.
Looks like it has some crazy rear lights, hard to see.
it definitely does not look boring or beautiful... looks interesting.

LOL, already the GM fans over at GMI are claiming their victory with their ugly new Malibu. I think it looks great and no doubt will be the top seller in its class yet again. Too bad so sad for the domestic fanboys.

What GMI thread are you reading? There are like two mentions of the Malibu in that thread. Claiming victory? lol?

Same old rhetoric there. Still makes my sides hurt from laughing.

This car will sell PLENTY.
it looks like an evolution of the current camry, with sharper front styling.
The malibu will sell well too, but it will be thousands of units behind the camry in sales.

Oh wow, shame it leaked out in this way. Somebody will likely lose their job over this. Now internet forums and bloggers will judge the car on these poor quality blurry pics. Toyota had kept it so secretive, and so close to release it's sad to see the car leak out in this fashion. It would have been better if the first public look at the car was with official pics. Not much Toyota can do now, except maybe release official pics and info a bit faster.
I would not call this overly conservative. The 2012 Passat, that is conservative. This is elegant, a bit understated, and has some interesting styling elements. It looks sportier than the 6th gen model without being gimmicky. This will sell tons.

Sucks that someone would do this when Toyota had kept it a secret for so long... And apperantly so close to release. I guess one posative this is that it will get people interested and talking... And build up some hype for the release.
Let's see the HQ pics already
