I am getting rid of my 750li because it's too big....just don't need the space. I had a Benz CL, SL500....Lexus SC400....M6 Cabrio before that so I'm used to smaller coupe cars.
I'm torn on what to get next, though. There really isn't anything out that I love. Nothing in Lexus' lineup does much for me right now.
I'm leaning towards the XK because it's a new body style still and priced cheaper than the 911 (which I think is changing body styles next year) and priced the same as the SL55 (but it's undergone a major refreshing and a new one is supposedly a year away).
Any thoughts or other suggestions? A5's/S5's are too dime a dozen it seems.....and there are no real BMW's out right now I want (don't like new 6.....and already had old 6).
Vipers, NSX's, etc. are not practical for everyday driving.

out of the three, I would pick up the 911.
However, since you seem to be fine with around 400 hp, and don't mind an 80k price tag, would you consider the audi r8? not the v10 version, that is quite pricey, but one of the v8 versions? I would choose the r8 over any of the options you listed in a heartbeat, and base upon audi owners, they say the r8 is a very decent DD

These are three rather different cars, so I'm left wondering what exactly the OP is looking for. For example, I'm going to guess that around 300kg separates each of the cars (i.e., the 911 weighs ~300kg less than the XK which itself weighs ~300kg less than the SL55). Clearly the 911 is the most different - I'd bet it has by far the most performance-oriented (and thus roughest) suspension, and probably has the noisiest cabin as well. With the 911 will come the legendary steering feel as well as the novelty of the RR configuration which will make the experience much different than the XK or SL.
But even the XK and the SL are pretty different. The SL is a pure GT car, plain and simple. It offers tons of hp and even more torque - far more than the XK does - but I see this mostly as trying to make up for its bloated weight and relatively lacking handling prowess. Although I've never driven an XK, I'd think it is a more engaging drive than the SL, benefiting substantially from the aluminum chassis (both in weight reduction and rigidity), and having a more interesting engine.
I really think these are three very different cars, and figuring out what driving experience is most desirable will probably go a long way to figuring out which one is best suited.

I'd go with the SL. Exterior wise, it is by far the best of any of the MB models IMO. Interior looks sharp as well. Power will be there for all of the cars listed, but after sitting in them and driving them around- that's when you'll really find out which one is best for you. But the SL gets my pick.
