Default Sprint Booster Left my P car stranded

Had Sprint Boosters on my 525 (sold) and my 996 2002 Porsche. Comming home from my nieces graduation my throttle stops engaging the car. Roll to a stop on top of a near bermless bridge on a highway. Top down, feet sticking out over seat I pull it out and car runs fine. Thank God I had flares so people swerved aound and gave me space. GF was non to happy !

My car would not even start when I installed the Sprint Booster. Now I'm in a dispute through Amex to get my money back because their US reseller, Throttle Boost, won't give me a refund.

The guys with Sprint Booster corporate are great though - you should call them and tell them about this.

Just curious Batman, why would you want a sprint booster on a 460? The 8 speed tranny is amazing when it comes to throttle response, especially in sport mode! Sometimes I wonder why our cars just don't start in 2nd gear!

The tray is amazing, but the throttle programming is not as linear as I would like. If you compare it with dynamic mode in a Jag or sport mode in the new F10 with dynamic drive, there is a huge difference in throttle response.

Chaos236, We are sorry to hear about your problems with the sprint booster. By design, if the sprint booster detects an issue it will deactivate if you have the original NON-Selectable series sprint booster. The newer Sprint Booster's with selectable programming would disable Stage 1 and Stage 2 mods and turn off the Sprint Booster enhancements if there is a problem detected. It sounds like this is the none selectable unit you have, it may be 2 to 4 years old and outside of its warranty.

Please email us at info@sprintboosterusa.com and we will see what can be done
