Trick to get heat out of a car that's been in the sun
Not sure how well it works but the physics makes sense:

(Did a search on this to make sure it's not a re-post but it's not exactly something easy to search for... "Japanese heat from car")

Sure, the door acts like a fan and blows the super-heated air out.
I use the open-sunroof-and-windows button on my fob to lower the temp in my ES350 as I'm walking towards it. Start to roll in that configuration, then button up the windows with the air on full then close the sunroof. It's about as quick a cool-down as I can manage without using this Japanese door fan.

I'm with Tofu - a button on a remote is mo betta, and less stupid looking. Of course, having a garage and parking in a parking garage also dramatically reduce the heat you endure, too.

Open all doors
Open sunroof
Start car
Turn on A/C
Yell at passengers standing outside, "Get your ____ss in the car, the A/C is on!"
Roll up windows
Drive...
Standing out in a parking lot that is probably in excess of 95F isn't much better. Let alone the radiant heat coming off the pavement. Ugh...
In Japan the ambient is about 87F with 90% humidity. I'm not going to stand out flapping the door. Find me at Jusco/mall eating ice cream and watching the JDM shoppers.

Wow, all these years of driving and I never thought of that
Yeah, the flapping and closing the door looks silly in the parking lot
one of the best feature with the lexus oem keyless is the ability to roll down the window with the remote.
what about this crap?

To those on the board of Japanese heritage/ancestry...
Are all Japanese videos required by law to have cheesy graphics, ridiculous upbeat videogame-like music playing in the background, and stupid MarioCart-like sound effects?
Because they all do!!
(Keep in mind that I'm NOT complaining about the legal requirement for the cute Asian chicks in all videos produced in Japan...that part is fine.)
