First, I don't think that your race was a factor. Most dealerships simply want to sell cars, and generally don't care what color your skin is.....and all American money is green. Second, as far as wearing a T-shirt goes, I've been to some dealerships where the salespeople themselves wear T-shirts. In fact, that was one of Saturn's sales-policies....their reps wore T-shirts with the company logo on them.
