I saw a new Kia Optima hybrid this morning on the way to work (looked nice).
But I noticed it had a new logo/badge on both the front and back, like a sylized "k". Similar to this photo, but with just the middle part in black and silver.
There's nothing on Kia's web-site that I could find about an (official) new logo, but, on the Kia forums, some Kia owners have been retrofitting their cars with the round "K" emblems because they don't like the red and white "KIA" oval. I agree.....the round K-emblems look much better, IMO.

Is this a new thing?
It's one of those pseudo-KDM logos for KIA cars in the past (that are intended for the Korean Domestic Market). Apparently, some of those badges in most of the Kia Carnival vans (i.e. you guys call them Sedona) as well as them old Kia Sportage vehicles from the 90s
Anyways, mmarshall points out these newer "KDM" badges that you can order from South Korea.
