2013 Toyota Avalon revealed (pics pg.14)

Toyota will certainly not change their new Camry that has been selling like crazy. I dont expect anything but normal release cycle, so facelift in 2014.
competition will come as usual, last year everyone said Sonata will kill ugly Camry and now Camry is proving them wrong.
Their latest Camry sales are getting up to those crazy levels back in 2006 so I can imagine Toyota being really happy with Camry. And dealers estatic.

This sure went off-topic fast .
Getting back to the Avalon, this debut is going to be exciting .
No chance. That is a JDM (or Asian market)-only model. People on the internet need to stop making such comparisons.
Subjective opinion on styling (and bias) aside, yes we don't get the next-gen Camry for the next few years since the new one just came out. What I said was actually relating to the Avalon and Toyota styling overall. The new Avalon is supposed to show the future of Toyota design, and that will influence the new Corolla as well as the next-gen Camry in a few years. Expect the crossovers to be much sportier as well. The new Rav4 styling-wise is as big of a jump as the new Avalon is.
Mid-cycle updates in general will become more extensive for Toyota and Lexus models; Toyota admitted this years ago. They won't be on the Hyundai level of rushed product, but they will be mid-cycle updates done right.

TRDFantasy, I am not sure if Corolla will follow this new design completely... reason I say this is because its development has probably been started long time ago.
I do hope it will...

Of course not completely. The next-gen Corolla from what I hear will share the overall styling philosophy of the new Avalon.

I just hope it wont get too many pieces from JDM model. Although I bet interior will be the same and it looks good on those tiny pics (like variation of GT-86)

That is how you do elegant and athletic design without being derivative. The interior, the exterior, the features, everything is STUNNING, even more than I imagined!

It has some touch-screen style buttons, but Toyota didn't go overboard like Lincoln or Ford did. There is still some regular buttons to prevent a usability nightmare.
