Are you serious - the average age of the ES350 is 60 years old? I'd say average age is 50 years old. Average as for the LS is 60+ years old.

"The main thing one needs to know about the Lexus ES350 is that it isn't intended to be an enthusiast car. The average age of Lexus buyers is in their mid- to late-50s,"
In 2007...
“The ES 350’s average age is 61, and their number-one occupation is retired,” says Jim Farley who recently dropped his position at Lexus to go work for Ford..."

The GS shares a platform with the Toyota Mark X and the Lexus IS. The GS and the Mark X are smaller than the Avalon, and are about the size of the Camry.
The Avalon shares a platform with the Camry (and the ES, Highlander, RX, etc. ...). It seems half of Toyota's lineup shares a platform with the Camry.

"This ES 350 also isn't particularly youth-oriented. The average age of buyers is 56, a year more than for the Cadillac CTS. By contrast, the average buyer's age is 42 for the BMW 328i, 43 for Nissan's Infiniti G35, and 45 for Honda's (HMC) Acura TL."

"For example, you might think that driving a Lexus makes you alluring, but if you opt for the $60,000 Lexus LS sedan, you might seem attractive only to older, single parents; LS drivers are in their 60s, family-oriented and value politeness."

Isn't the disparity even bigger than that? I thought the Avalon still had the 2GR-FE, while the GS definitely has the completely different, more powerful 2GR-FSE.
