Don't worry guys, it's not being sold in the US. It's flavored for other markets, which is why our American eyes don't like it. I wouldn't even call this ugly anyway, just not great. Have you seen the 100's of ugly vehicles being sold elsewhere? It's like they're blind.

Here's some examples of foreign biggest sellers. Look at how freaking ugly they are. Makes the Orlando look like a beauty.

Here's the 6th best selling vehicle in India...

The 6th best selling vehicle in Japan...

The 9th best seller in Japan...

the 4th best selling car in all of Europe...

9th best selling car in all of Europe...

Clearly, Americans are the only ones that consistently only accept good looking cars. Once in a while, an automaker will slip in something like the Nissan Juke. Notice many on the road? Exactly.

The whole thing wreaks of mediocracy, complacency, and indifference.

Basic four-wheeled transportation for the family.

However
I highly doubt that many would buy it

I would spend $20k more on a 4runner, even if i didnt have it, just so I would not have to be seen in that...thing.

However...If they changed the way the front end looked, I might consider it. It meets all the needs of my wife and I's daily life. Having the Ram and a car/SUV to supplement it and for road trips in my apartment complex will be a giant PITA, as I only have one parking spot.

But this thing meets all of the requirements we have, except for the looks. Gets over 30mpg hwy, can haul the 110lb monstrosity of a Retriever we have, and luggage, and can even tow a small trailer (uhaul or small boat) if I need to.

Just package the outside in something different...PLEASE. Don't touch the interior GM.

When the model was under development, GM America pulled out, figuring that it would not sell in the USA. GM Canada, however, stayed in. It is now available in Canada but will not be sold in the USA.

Looking at the comments here, GM America was probably right. There is some overlap with the Equinox, and they figured that a mini-minvan version of the Equinox (with an added 3rd row of seats) would not sell. Like the station wagon, there is a stigma against the minivan in America.

The minivan, however, still sells in Canada. If Toyota or Honda offered something similar, I would be interested in taking a look (I don't like the fact that the Mazda5 does not offer a 3-passenger bench seat in the 2nd-row -- I want a 5+2 seat vehicle, not a 4+2 seat vehicle). The Sienna / Odyssey minivan has gotten a bit too big for my tastes and needs.
