Picking up a 'NEW' '10 IS350
Tungsten/black with 95 miles and bought the IS from Herb Chambers in MA.Huge dealership.
Luxury pkg w/18" tires,NAV,lip spoiler.
$44.4K sticker
Paying $36600 + tax and fees with updated NAV map update.
It's going to take about 8-10 days to get the car as it's in MA and I'm in Jersey unless the dealer pulls some kind of unwanted surprise and blows the deal.I never bought out of state before.
FedEx paperwork back and forth.MA doesn't have a 30 day tag option which is a PITA.I have to wait at least 5+ business days for the dealer to get my plates and registration from NJ.
I had a '06 IS250AWD and like it a lot but lacked the power I want.

Thanks,Guys!
Did some hard negotiating over the phone.Went with the new or not 'it'll be two years old next month".
Asking prices for used '10s are going for more than I paid here in Jersey.Tough car to find used and not many new in Jersey.Maybe more AWDs in stock..
I haven't seen the car but was assured it flawless and has 95 miles on it.
A month ago my son in law and I went to a Red Sox game at Fenway.
He was looking at LX570's but didn't want to spend the cash for a new one.
We heard Herb Chambers was the the biggest Lexus dealer in the world. It isn't but their said to be #2.A Florida dealer is said to be the biggest. So we stopped in.Huge dealer and very nice.Herb Chambers has his LFA is the center of the showroom.
My son in law bought a loaded '10 LX570 with 14K miles that was in the showroom saving $16K over going new.
I was looking at IS350s and gave them a call.
My local dealer TriCounty Lexus has a new '10 Tungsten Pearl/black in their showroom but they wanted much more. The car has 460 miles and a few scratches and a chip on the rear bumper.I don't like that dealer.
I did a search and there were around 7 'NEW' 10's in a 250 mile radius and 5 were Tungsten Pearl/black.
My first choice would be Starfire pearl/black like my IS250 was but Tungsten Pearl/black is my second choice and the price was right to me.
It's a real pain buying in MA without the 30 day tag other states have, though.

Congragulations on your choice
If the IS250AWD is too much of a slug for you (and, I agree, it's no drag-racer), AWD is now available on the 350 (I did a review of it not long ago). Did you check one out before going for the RWD 350?

An '11 AWD would have cost me around $8K more discounted with the same options.
I really don't need AWD.The car will sit in the garage in bad winter weather.I have the option of not needing to use the car in bad weather.
If I had to use a car daily,I wouldn't have went with a RWD vehicle.

Thanks.
I don't think the '10s were there all year in both dealer showrooms.
Some manager probably wanted to get rid of them out of stock by putting the cars on the showroom floor.
My son in law's used '10 LX 570 was in the showroom and it being there worked.
Herb Chambers showroom is huge.Maybe the IS350 I bought was in there when I stopped in but I don't remember seeing it.
Huge and beautiful dealership.
