Wait did someone mention how wonderful the Hyundai Genesis is...
I think these ads are kind of a rip off of Audi's creative Lexus Bashing...
They are not as well done, but what can you say--- the VW group has the best marketing team around.

Toyota/Lexus' halo car is a Lexus... Nissan/Inifinti halo car is... a Nissan. Infinit's woes are all their own fault.
And in all actuality, Inifiti really has nothing left except to make cheap shots at Lexus. They don't have the same customer base. They should be nipping at the heels of BMW/Audi drivers. They really don't have a legitimate RX or ES fighter, nevermind an LS competitor.
As Jeremy Clarkson said, all the c@cks that used to drive bimmers, now drive Audis. So theirs your audience Inifiit!

I'm not a big fan of any "smear" commercials that bash others unless they're extremely clever. The Audi ones are clever.
Just like those political commercials that smear other candidates just gets on my nerves. Very non-classy there.

I don't consider Jeremy Clarkson to be a car reviewer - he's an entertainer, pure and simple.
And every automotive brand out there as cocky customers.

Top Gear is an entertainment show. Everything that is presented on it in terms of cars and opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. It's almost shocking to see how many people actually believe the things they present. Top Gear makes use of automotive cliches and abuses them to the limit to hammer home a point.

And yes, every brand has their fair share of cocky customers, some just seem to have a bit more than others.

The commercial points out that "luxury" can come in two forms........and insinuates that Lexus-type luxury is like a "sedative".
Well, fine. A lot of people like smoothness and quietness in their cars. The LS-series didn't get its success (and where it is today) by pounding its occupants over bumps and assaulting their ears the way a Mazda Miata or Honda S2000 does....or even with the moderately stiff-suspensions that characterize many of today's Infiniti products.
In fact, it can be argued that the LS (430) appealed even more to a lot of its customers several years ago, before the latest-generation model stiffened its suspension slightly and gave it lower-profile tires, than the current LS460 does.

Sorry the ads and execution and point are totally different.
Lexus isn't insulting the competition, they stated some facts in regards to performance and show the IS drifting around the competition. They don't show the German cars breaking down or anything silly and engaging in making jokes at the competition.
In comparison, Insillyti is insulting Lexus calling it boring and they are supposedly "inspired" when looking at sales the last 20 years clearly more people are "inspired" by Lexus and looking at racing histories and modified cars, the car scene and again the LFA, IS F, etc etc its all in Lexus favor.
There is no denying that Lexus makes some cars completely titled to the luxury side of the equation and Lexus is quite damn good at that. To insult it is beyond childish when you had 3 good years out of 20 and people lease your cars more than purchasing them. If they were so "inspired" they would BUY the car.
This is how you make a commercial showing your strengths without having to insult anyone.

This is "inspiring". This is inspired performance, a car that lapped the ring in 7:14. This is what makes one aspire. Whats HILARIOUS and IRONIC is the NISSAN GT-R costs more and performs better than any Infiniti. Inspired Performance from them is the Nissan GT-R.
