Well in actuality, I think this topic is relative to age groups. If you ask someone thats 50, their answer will differ greatly from someone thats 30. Still fun to read the responses though.

Agreed. I think this car will look great for many years to come.

There are a couple older cars I prefer over more modern counterparts.

The BMW 850 looks better than any moderm Bimmer imo.

The Mazda RX7 looks better than the RX8.

The 2nd and 3rd gen Nissan Sentra's look better than the current cars.

I'm sure I can come up with some others but that's enough.

As for interiors, many of the older cars were built with real leather and wood as opposed to the modern use of plastics, faux wood and synthetic leathers.

I'll agree with you regarding safety features and suspensions.

Most of the cars listed above are great, but when you actually see them in person, they are beat up, paint is faded, and trim pieces are falling off. Not that that's a knock to the car's durability, but it's hard appreciating such nice designs when they look like hell.

^^ That more on the owners for not taking good care of their cars though. When you see one in great condition, it still looks amazing, especially because it shows how much care went into the car.

Saw a modded CL55 on the road today and thought of this thread.

Here are the ones I find still very good looking in today's standard and imo would still be so in ten years.

E46 BMW 3-series post-facelifted sedan(2002-2005)
Acura NSX post-facelifted(2002-2005)
Honda S2000(2000-2009)
Ferrari 360 Modena
Mazda 6(last generation)
Infiniti G35 coupe(V35 ; 2004-2007)
Acura RSX

My 2004 Lexus IS300 FTW! Got about 85K on it and I expect it to go a lot further than that.

they really don't. as a former owner of a 2GS, i know. even in 2006 when i sold my 2GS, which was fully tricked out, i realized it was looking dated. even though i didn't like the 3GS looks at the time, i could see it was more 'modern'.

this is a typical 2GS - hardly looks impressive now.

nor does its cassette player, the 5 speed auto, the 4x4 ride height, etc.

the SC was great for its time, but the interior looks like something out of an old camry now. the park brake, stick shift, and funky vertical cup holder were sore points.
