To me it looks better than the current one.

It seems like many like this car, but from a styling point, I feel it's an extroverted mess with odd proportions.
I've looked at the pics...scratched my head a few times...and came to the same conclusions. The car, for as similar as it looks to the 5 series, is nowhere near as elegant or even sporty IMO. It's just rather odd looking all the way around.

Interior, especially of the sport models, is really quite a disappointment IMO.

How come nobody is trashing this thing left and right for being an evolutionary change over the current car? if Lexus or Toyota did this, we'd never hear the end of it. It doesn't look much different from my mom's 2006 330i.

I like the color keyed strip on the inside, but other than that, that interior design is a huge mish-mash.

When is Lexus coming out with the new IS?

See my post a few pages prior. The more I look at the new unibrow BMW, the more I think I was being too kind in my analysis. Besides the things I mentioned, the rear end and roof were hardly touched. That makes it a car that was only 65% remade. Skimpy.

New IS should be a 2013 model, but the way Lexus is over-stretching the GS and ES releases, who knows. Traditionally, a new ES has always debuted with a new Camry. Not so this time. I guess "skimpy" would also apply to Lexus here.

Not bad, it's going to sell like hotcakes regardless. I'll probaly never purchase an BMW until they do something about their interior. I know it's probaly high quality but I need a little more luxury. But their cars handling is unlike no other.

M-Sport Package - debut (and my god, that looks stunning)

http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=598186

With that, it is GUARANTEED that the next-gen BMW M3 will really look BAD-***!!!

My friend is a BMW fanatic and has leased all BMWs. And he'll lease this one for sure (he's a doctor, so can afford it).

The design isn't drastic. It appears all the big brands are not going away much from the previous design (Honda with Civic, Toyota with Camry...)

But it still looks good. And I'm sure it will still sell the best in its class.

uhm, i dont think it looks that good. Current M3 looks better.
Not to mention 1 series interior and Mini steering wheel is a complete joke.

Color coded interior on $60k M3 is not cool... they dont need that strip going around the dash in blue color. You can see that in new Prius C. Also, the "net" on the seats is something that new Yaris has.

Both seem influence from Mini, as well as that ridiculous steering wheel... are you in Fiat 500 or in M3 for god sake?

It is still better looking than E90 though, so I am sure they will sell a lot... but in reality, it is pretty disappointing after 5 series interior overhaul. They definitively based the car on 1 series design and not 5 series.

Not really feeling the suede seats, but the M-sport does improve the look of the car a lot.
