Exclamation RX F-sport on the way....

Lexus is really internally enthused about F-sport. They are clearly putting a much better effort into it than L-tuned (us O.Gs remember L-tuned)

I think you're mixing up the hypothetical RX-F with the RX F-sport that is in question. The RX F-Sport will be great for those unsatisfied with how tame the regular RX looks and handles. Bring it on I say.

Rims + body kit + suspension + interior stuff most likely (the usual f-sport package additions). I say bring it

If it can out-handle a Cayenne or X6, DO IT!

Otherwise, it will be ridiculed as a regular RX with a body kit and lowering springs...

Yeah right, highly unlikely to out handle X5/6, or Cayenne.
It probably will be a RX with bodykit and some lowering. At least it out handle regular Rxs.

Like the LS sport, it will probably just turn the RX into having a more german feel.

The current RX debuted with a sport/touring package but was dicontinued a year later. I don't think the RX's demographic warrants such a package, but in low numbers, maybe there's some profit in it.

^^Might have to do with the fact the sport package was hard to find or had to be special ordered.

If done right, I think an F Sport RX could distinguish itself from the other RX models enough to make a business case. New grill, bumpers, wheels, different interior trim, and better driving dynamics would be a good start.

Lexus needs to start expanding the F Sport treatment to hybrids in the U.S. UK Gets GS 450h F Sport...we dont. Hopefully, with the high percentage of RX 450h sales, they will add F Sport to that model as an option.

Agree. I would think there's a better use of these resources than this.

I really don't see the average RX buyer even wanting something like this in the first place, and then you factor in the higher price point it will bring.

I hope Lexus doesn't think every single model has to cater to the sports/sporty mindset. First, they don't buy the majority of vehicles. Second, Lexus has been a success in the U.S. despite being perceived as "boring" by mainstream car magazines and the like.

LFA and IS-F = friggin awesome.

Lexus trying to be like BMW just for the sake of it = foolish.
