I'd opt for the M3...my cuz has an E46 M3 with close to 175k miles and is running strong. All done was requried maintenance. But he's very prompt (really ****) on the maintenance stuff, so that can play a big part as to why it's still going healthy too.
the G35 coupe isnt a bad choice, you may be able to find a G37 coupe if you can wait out a little longer. I'd prefer the G37 over the G35 anydayas well, mainly due to the interior's night to day upgrade between the two.
and i dont know your necessity on a back seat...but if you are opting for a G35 coupe, i'd also look into the 350z's...the luxury of the two are pretty identical and you can get a really nicely prices 350z as opposed to the badge of the infiniti on the G35.

I would go with M3 or G35 with more emphasis on M3..
not sure if you can find G37 for under $20K though.. The 350Z's build quality isn't that great since it has real cheap interior but is good bang for the buck if you want a really low price... Good Luck!

Honda S2000, though its torque-curve is very peaky, and you have to rev the hell out of the engine to get its spunk.
