Why Is The IS-F So Expensive?!
I thought between the ISF, M3, and C63, the ISF would be the least expensive of them all.
But the base price is $5k more than a base M3 sedan, and $2k more than the C63. Why is this?

But wasn't the ISF cheaper a year or two ago?

The ISF comes with a lot more options for the price. Are you talking new or used? A used 2008 M3 is still more expensive by 2k over an ISF, talking new yes a base ISF is more by 2-4k BUT you get many things that don't come standard.
A Standard M3 or C63 has nothing! Most Base M3 have to be special ordered because no one wants a base M3 plus BMW dealerships can hike there prices up way more than advertise on the BMW sites!
You looking for a used or new? I might be selling my 2008 Black ISF with around 32,000 miles which I just bought months ago and maybe driven for 1 week. I don't want to sell but might be doing contract security in Afghanistan for 1-2 years and don't need the car.

^I'm talking about new, it's MSRP is $62k, where as the M3 is $56k, and the C63 is $59k. I guess you're right, that the ISF comes with more standard stuff which is why it's priced so high. But wasn't the base price lower a while back?
Anyway, is your ISF paid off, or what?
Feel free to PM me if you want.

Yea I paid cash for it. I actually bought in from Lexus of Easton in Ohio and they shipped it to San Diego, CA. I'll be back in San Diego end of Dec so if your still looking for a 2008 ISF just PM me and you can take a look. I still haven't got tags for it because I'm over here.

lol, a base m3 comes with cloth seats, 18' rims, no keyless entry, no powered/heated seats, no navigation, no metallic paint, fake interior trim, no spare tire, and almost $2000 in a destination and gas guzzler fees.
i consistly found a comparatively equipped m3 to be around $75k sticker with very little negotiation. I bought a brand new ISF stickered around $62k for under $49k + TTL (yes, fully loaded, even with headlamp washers), and even now i bet you can get one fully equipped under $60k after negotiation. yeah, it wasn't worth a $15k difference to me back then and i doubt it's still worth the $5-$10k now. especially here in NY with an M3 and M6 at every corner, and X5/6M at every other corner, and now the M1 trying to race me every other day. i just laugh knowing they paid almost the same amount i did for a go kart.

As others have said, it does come with a good amount of equipment standard, but I had no idea it now starts at $62K! If I recall correctly the base price 3 years ago was $56-$57k? I guess price increase reflects improvements made the last couple of years.

If your going to get a standard M3 might as well get the cheaper 300 series and tune it!

Asian cars are combo meal, Euros works on an a la carte system.
Base M3 and C63 don't even come with keys, steering wheel or a windshield, everything is optional, they just give you a rolling chassis.............JK, I think they do come with a driver seat.
