Audi to design their models to look different from each other...

My benchmark for design language is the early '90s Lexus lineup.
You had the SC, ES, LS, GS (eventually LX and RX too) that all looked different, but still had a Lexus "vibe" that you knew when you see it.

E46, E39, E38. Examples of a perfectly executed "one sausage, three lengths" design language. Although they were distinctly BMW and all very similar in all parts of the design. They were still all very distinguishable from one another.
I don't have trouble differentiating the A4, A6, and A8 at all. I just wish the rear ends weren't so bland.

If so, I don't think that's the problem. I haven't recently mistaken an R8 for a Q5, but perhaps some people have...?
They need to be focusing on differentiation within those groups.

I can't stand homogenous styling. I want to see different headlights, grills and bumpers with the different models. Currently, you can't tell which Audi it is until the thing is right next to you. That takes some of the emotion out of choosing a car. Why buy an A8 when the A6 looks the same, has plenty of room and power. Buying the top model used to mean something....but it will mean less if they all look the same.
Pay attention Lexus!
