They'll have a better chance of seeing cars with decent wheel fitment....
And they will see undeniably that people DO buy the Mercedes E550, BMW 550i, and V8 Jaguar XF.
GS 500, please. Thanks.

I must have missed something.
The article talks about Lexus moving their MARKETING group to Torrance, CA. It then says, "Given the strength of the yen, manufacturing in the states is certainly a smart strategy." and further that, :...putting Lexus factories on this side of the Pacific would be welcome news to cash-strapped counties..."
The article did not mention any plans to move Lexus' manufacturing factories from Japan to the US. I suspect that any car comany's marketing group's might have fewer than 100 employees at their home office with more in the field. (?)
Did I miss the discussion about moving manufacturing facilities?
Because of California's onerous business regulations and punitative tax structure few businesses would choose to relocate a profit-making enterprise here (and many have left). Nissan's Design and Lexus' Marketing activities might be a little different though with just a few employees and no taxable "profit". Jus' my $0.02

I think Lexus makes BIG mistakes like ending the production of EC430. The key there was Not to end the production but to Boost the HP and just improve everything to support more HP.
The Hardtop Convertible was and is awesome, but, some people just can't get with the program. Yes, its nice to have 4 door HP and speed, but, 2 door is where its really at. Again, the key was to increase the HP number of speeds, handling and so forth and stay with and/or out in front of the competition, instead they (whoever) stopped production. Duh!
Who cares and is there a Real Difference on where something is produced, if its cheaper and just as good in Tim Buck Two or Chicago or Detroit or LA, have at it. Again, Duh!
