Default Toyota, Subaru top new IIHS safety-picks.

Here's something to think about if Junior is going to be riding in the back seat and you don't want to empty out your bank-account for a new Volvo or Mercedes, with their proven safety-records. Toyota and Subaru now rank at or close to the very top of the IIHS (Institute for Insurance Highway Safety) picks. Toyota had more models in that group than any other manufacturer, and Subaru had ALL of their models in that group. Honda, in general, was the most-improved company this year in the safety-field.

Subaru FTW! I'm diggin my Outback and safety was one of the factors that made me pick it over its competitors. When it rains, I insist that my girlfriend drive it to work. Peace of mind is worth a lot to me.
