Supposedly there is a new part number for the rear pads, they are going to try those and see if they reduce the noise.

We'll try again tomorrow.

Have you attempted anything with corporate?

I will be very surprised if you hear from Lexus before you get the car back. I have seen this before.
i have a similar concern, however they cannot deny how long it took and that breaks their warranty contract which is up held by law.

What does the law say is the penalty for breaking their warranty contract?

Did you buy this car new or used? I don't recall if mentioned this in the past.

Car was purchased pre-owned from a private party with 8,000 miles at 16months. Lemon Law defines a car as "new" if still under original factory warranty when it changes ownership.

I tried to pick up the car today. Went on a test drive, motor/transmission feel good, alignment is spot on. But under panels are loose, the service order is different than the original and is missing my complaints re: the engine and squealing brakes and shows closed Dec. 31 even though they were just putting brakes on it today, Jan 4th.

Frustrated

No, car is still at dealer. I have a written demand to the dealer regarding completing the work and requesting additional information in the final invoice as well as an accurate completion date. I have another call to 800-25 LEXUS regarding my concern of NO compensation being offered, and my factory warranty running out prior to the buyback claim being resolved. At least they should extend the warranty the 113 days (and counting) that the car was out of service, for this ONE issue.

Lexus at least should give you a 7/100 extended warranty.
In fact I would demand it.That's the least they should do.
Me.I'd fight for a buy back as I wouldn't trust the repair over the long haul but a warranty would help.

When the oil lines fell off my dads rx350, they extended him to 7/100, gave him 1k and all service is done at cost for all lexus's he owns now. Tell them you want that deal.

Unfortunately I already bought an 8/100K platinum no deductible warranty myself in Feb when I lost faith in their ability to address the problem after 2 tries and 24 days out of service. No one has yet to offer to reimburse me for the warranty I already purchased. No offer of free or reduced cost service, nothing, nada.

Yes they did. Kind of the bare minimum from a luxury brand in my opinion.

I think Lexus is really failing here. I can't imagine what would happen if Autoblog did a story on this.

There was a guy on the BMW board who had an engine problem the week before Christmas. BMW authorized a whole engine replacement (Long-block) and expedited the engine shipping. In 2.5 weeks the guy was back on the road with a brand new engine. Plus they shipped original engine back to BMW for diagnosis of what went wrong.
