Welcome fellow Las Vegan! Yes, the Lexus will give you much more problem free miles.

 

I'd keep the RX! Lexus RX is one of the most reliable SUVs/rides out there. I have not done nada to the car other than oil/filter/fluid change since day 1! That explains why I continue to pamper it with the best of the the best gasoline/fluids out there..I even shower it once every week just to keep it in this happy/problem-free mode. Love ittt.

 

There's no question that Jags are classy, and a temptation from sheer looks alone. But, as you found out, reliability is questionable, and service/repairs can cost a bundle. I agree with the other posters.....stick with the RX.

 

Love my RX330... Handles great in the snow with just all season tires... Just keep clicking the miles off and it has been very reliable. I would not even consider a older Jag... Too many probelms and VERY expensive to fix.

 

I was very tempted by the price of the jaguar that my uncle was offering me. I mean a almost $75,000 car is hard to turn down and with luxury cars being useful for up to 200,000 miles I was all for the idea. The Lexus rx that I drive and the jaguar s type are our first two cars that we have had over 50,000 miles so we are still getting used to not having the warranty lol and the costs of performing the major services. What I find funny is that my mom has taken my Lexus the last few weeks and given me her s-type. I love the looks of the jaguar and the power makes it a very very fun car to drive but I find myself really missing my Lexus. There is nothing like the smoothness Lexus offers and the ease of driving. I really would love to buy the new 2012 gx460 but right now I think its best to keep things simple and stick to the garage we have now. :-)
