I'll get a Lexus over Infiniti anyday not because I own a Lexus but Infiniti is known for road noise & wheel bearing issues/failures. I had a G35 and it perform well but I had to change the wheel bearings twice within 20k miles & the road noise is horrible. I also got friends with G35, G37, M45 and they all have the same road noise issues and 3 of my friends already had to change there wheel bearings multiple times on there G35. Get a Lexus!!!

LIMS wait for the new GS, I'm serious. I am not head over heels with the looks and sad there is no V-8. That said, it now combines an LS interior and near trunk with IMO the sportiest car in class. I wasn't expecting to be shocked by this car but it is very very good. Extremely well made, the tech and options are first rate, it debuts 5-12 world or class firsts and Lexus really got it right in most cases here.
Don't buy something you will later regret. Its your hard earned money, buy something that will make you grin every time.
Think about it. The GS is old/not even available for 2012. The RL sucks. The XF is struggling, the 5/E are cleaning up. The 9-5 is gone. You would think Ininiti would be cleaning up here with all that chaos. Instead its another product they have made that struggles and is doing poorly. Looks are subjective, I don't like it. The interior is well done but resembles Nissans too much. The ride with the 20s is horrid, like a 350Z. You can't get the 18s b/c it looks ridiculous with them. Then the price is high, it has no image and the brand simply doesn't resonate with buyers here.
Pros. It is fast with the VQ, it won't be confused with the 50 billion 5/E classes out there, if you are a JDM junkie you can do a Nissan Fuga swap, the interior again, is well done, there is tons of room up front, there is ample tech optional, the trunk is a good size and you can of course get a good lease on it.
Its not really an enthusiast car either contrary to what some fanbois will say. Outside of shocks, coilovers, wheels, an OEM kit and maybe one or two aftermarket kits, there is no aftermarket. They have completely ignored this vehicle. In nearly 2 years there are maybe 4-5 modified. Shame.
Its not a bad car by any means outside of the childish ride with the 20s. I think once again Infiniti missed the marketing/advertising mark as they were more interested showing dumbass ink lines and "omg pixie dust in the wood" instead of explaining its hp ratings.
Harsh isn't sportiest. The new 5, A6 and GS IMO are sportier without riding like a 2003 350Z. Interior is nice.
Says the guy with the Nissan Skyline with big red S badges His 15 year old Lexus might be just as well built Its still clear that the experts and media agree that Lexus is the face of Asian luxury and now sport. The new GS interior doesn't embarrass the M37 but it is better built and offers more features and technology.
Infiniti had a HUGE OPPORTUNITY to make HUGE INROADS with this car and they blew it. Now with the new GS coming it will be even more of an after thought.

I have been looking to get a new car since I sold my GS350 last October,,,originally was gonna get LS460 but still have not found white one so decided to move on to something else,,,found new M37s and wanted to know what u guys thought on it,,,personally not a big fan of exterior but need a car pretty bad right now,,,BTW, do they make any aftermarket for this car?? cant hardly find any,,,

Says the guy with a 15 year old Lexus; do you even know what a light year mean? I agree that Lexus cars are a little more refined/softer than an Infiniti, but light year ahead they're not.
Infiniti makes very solid cars with firmer suspensions than Lexus.
Btw, 1 light year = 6 trillion miles.

And I have driven every Lexus model in production today, exception LFA.
No current Infiniti product impresses me at all. Smartass.

Cool down guys before this thread gets locked
Back on topic. Performance wise, the M has 330hp vs the 306hp and A 7 speed instead of the 6 speed so it obviously has its advantages.
I think most of us can agree that the 4GS looks better inside and out.
Can't really say anything on comfortability since the 4GS isn't out yet but we all know the Lex will be more comfortable than the M because I drove one and IMO my 13 y/o GS300 has a better ride.
We all ready know that them being made by Nissan and Toyota that they're reliable so thats not a prob.

I am going to comment on this one. While I do like the M interior, it looks like Infiniti benchmarked the LS exterior and took the curves to the extreme.
Not like the look of their sedans at all.

Engine/Transmission/Drivetrain/Performance
The new GS powertrains have been enhanced for 2013 to provide better fuel economy and more responsive performance. The GS 350 is powered by an advanced 3.5-liter V6, four cams, and four valves per cylinder engine with dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i). At 306 horsepower, it is one of the most powerful base engines in the segment, as well as the only one with both port and direct injection. It propels the GS 350 from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and at the same time, boosts its fuel economy to projected EPA-estimated ratings of 19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

Obviously whether we think the car is pretty or a dissaster is a subjective matter. This is what the M (and quite frankly alot of the new Infiniti product) reminds me of:
In my opinion, it's completely overdone. I do believe a car should have some curves to it, but they have one too many curves on these cars.
