i think higher res pics and especially profile and back look even better than this shot
BUT
on chinese pics, we saw them both together, and while ES is actually quite pretty, there was no doubt which one was more expensive car thats for sure.

the term 'platform' is thrown around here so much as if it's some kind of wooden wagon chassis that different bodies are bolted to.
the reality is far more complex. a 'platform' will still get modified sometimes extensively when used on another model, depending on various differences, and as to whether it can then be considered the 'same' is debatable.
to me, platform sharing is completely irrelevant.

I'm still not feeling the version of the spindle grill on this 6ES...

The reason I'm not feeling it is I don't like how the chrome "fangs" extend further down the spindle grill. I do like the version on the GS and LX. As for the RX it works because of it's size and it's an SUV and I like how the grill is flush with the hood. As for the 6ES there's a space at the top of the grill that protrudes out before it meets the hood and I'm not feeling that either...

Looks great. One problem though, all the new ES, GS, and CT are hardly distinguishable from each other, at least the front view in the pictures. They are like Audi, one very great front design and being used on every car in the lineup.

on a separate note, most automakers are using the one sausage different lengths mentality
