I have not been paying very close attention - so what new vehicles will actually be available in calendar year 2012? I know the GS will be soon, and I saw the updated LX, but what about any others and when will they start selling them? If they are not available until April, June, etc, that will make it harder for them to catch up in 2012, right? 2013 on the other hand ...

I was watching drive tv, Lexus of N.A hints at the LF-C being the SC replacement.

I don't see the need for a smaller SUV than the RX- that'll take away sales from the RX. It's already compared to the small SUV's from MB and BMW, maybe an F-Sport variation with the 4-wheel steering and AWD. CT with more powerful engines. A GS-F, new ES, new IS, new LS in a year or so, followed by the coupe. That's my guess.

Lexus is sold worldwide, where RX is considered large SUV, and smaller SUVs are required.

And the brand gradually will shift from body-on-frame trucks to unibodies.
IMO, they better think twice before making the LX and GX car-based. Part of the sales-appeal of those two vehicles is their off-road and towing-abilities.

It sounds more like the Infiniti JX than a fancy minivan.

The Venza, with a little engineering ingenuity, can be a 7-seater.

I mean, the Rav4 has a third row option for children and midgets. Why not the Venza?

IMO, the new SC will be GS based, essentially a GS coupe/convertible. It will slot in below the new coupe based on the LF-LC.
