Until you open the hood and that hideous exhaust tip on the 65

God, I wish Lexus came remotely close building something as bad-azz as this. Thread starter, do you work for autoblog?

Lexus is going a totally different direction than Merc. Benz is just better known for these types of ridiculously high powered sedans with terrible gas mileage and they have a wide audience for it. Hats off to Benz for thier creative engineering and a beautiful looking Sedan with afterburners to boot.

$140k 500 hp V8 Twin Turbo Alpina B7? Ok some people don't count the Alpina as a real BMW, what about the $160k 535 hp V12 Twin Turbo 760Li M-Sport? No, still can't hang with those AMGs?

Ok fine, I would swap the exhaust tip too

With the stock quiet exhaust though, even serious car enthusiast would have a really hard time telling the sounds between that V8 and V12. I can tell only after paying very close attention of every E63, S63, S65 and S600 that pass by me on the street, but still is pretty hard with a quiet exhaust. So if the hood is close with no badge, is very hard to tell what it is.

Ohh, I love the Alpina B7! One day I saw there was a brand new white B7 parked at the shopping mall, I couldn't help but sit in my car for 15 mins just to stare at it.

A guy here at my work got one, it is a little too wild for me. I like the M-Sport with the OEM 21s better.

yup, sorry, alpina still looks like aftermarket to me, as much as they are so "close" to bmw. i didn't say 760 isn't nice, but want to pair it with the s65? still a bit gap

Me too, I am not a fan either.

Yes not quite 65 level, but if I have to pick between 760 M vs. S63, I might pick the 760 just for the V12. 760 M looks REALLY hot on those OEM 21s

I really want to drive one of these and compare it to my 600. My car is still ridiculously fast to me but the numbers of this 63 don't lie!!! Also, one of reasons that I bought my car was the fact that it is easily tunable because of the forced induction over the previous 63.

true, between the s63 and the 760il it's a better comparison. i wonder which one feels more sporty and which one has a better ride

from what i heard, the 600 is stupidly fast (like you said), the 63 has more sporty feel to it, together with suspension and such. at pick up speed my feeling is the 600 is probably going to edge out

Your 600 is a cruiser, the extra silky V12 would make it "feels" faster then it is. So on paper, the new TT 63 is faster, but by "feels", your V12 would still feels better due to the V12.

The 63 is more sporty in every ways since everything is sport tune.

The decision is, you want silky V12 or a sporty V8?

The ABC on the S63 is hydraulic and the 760 is on air. Now that I have driven a bunch of CL63s with the ABC, I must say the ABC is amazing. It is very sporty on sport mode but ride extremely nice on soft.

Never been in a 760, but all the review is saying BMW really soften that car up, they say it float like a Buick on soft mode and is not all that sporty in sport mode.

I am just obsessed with high cylinder count, now that I got 2 V8s, I really crave V10, V12.......
