1997 Honda Civic EX manual, cost me 4k w/80,000 miles, still gets 32 MPG, reliable as all hell. Currently has 134,000 miles, I expect it will go to 200k.
Want a new car but love paying $30/mo for insurance, $90/yr for registration, and $35 to fill up. Doesn't get much cheaper just banking the money I'm saving

A buddy has a 93 Honda Del Sol that he parked in his mom's barn after 17+ years and 225K miles. The car still runs fine, but the underside is badly rotted from 17 Michigan winters.

The average going up must be all those Toyota and Lexus owners keeping their cars long times
My truck is 18 (built 8/93) and only has 49K so she'll be here a long time. My Cressida was 27 before being put out to pasture.

My 97 LS400 will have to last me 10 more years. I should have my 55 Chevy 3100 done by then.
MRS has a 99 Camry but prefers my 88 2X4 Toyota truck that I have had for 17 years, best vehicle I have ever owned. Nothing wrong with Camry, she too prefers shifting gears.
My 88 4X4 Toyota wood-hauler will probably go back on the road before I buy anything else.
