Default Lexus Hatchback F?

I was behind a Hyundai Veloster this morning. The more I looked at it the more I think that Lexus should come out with something like it. Or that that design would be something Lexus would of put out.

Too small. Lexus has already stated that it doesn't want to go into the A nor B segment.

ToMoCo can leave such cars to Scion and Toyota.

I wouldn't mind Scion having a car like this. Get rid of the ho-hum xD for something sportier and more daring.

I'm good with the CT200H design.

If they made a full fledge "F" (not F-Sport) version using that body/chassis, that would be interesting

why would lexus want to downgrade itself as a brand and create something like the veloster? It didnt work with the w203 C class hatchback, and bmw is holding out on bringing over the 1 series hatch. Lexus got lucky with the CT. They would have to price it below the CT and at that point, can you really call it a luxury car?

Agree, Lexus already have a very nice hatchback called CT200H. Much better than the Veloster, actually, these two don't even belong in one sentence. Veloster is to compare with Honda Fit, Chevy Sonic, Toyota Yaris etc.

They should just stick that supercharger that Fox Marketing created for the CT... add a (more?) aero dynamic body kit and you can call that the CT-F.

I think Toyota should design something similar not Lexus. The Veloster is a great looking vehicle and it drives pretty nicely even with the smaller motor currently used. With the upcoming turbo it will be a class leader imho. To me the turbo will be the closest thing we currently have to a CRX of back in the day

I think Hyundai is doing a lot of things right (product, customer relationships, etc) and will be making its way through the ranks in a serious way in the next 5-10 years
