Got a chance to drive the regular 5.0 mustang vert recently.... Its pretty awesome
Great engine, smooth transmission.... definitely a good buy... But some of the trim pieces could be better...

I'm not sure it's that clear cut... with the Boss 302 you're getting into Corvette territory price-wise, and the base C6 should offer very similar performance both in a straight line and on the track (not to mention all the inexpensive performance upgrade versions... Z51, Grand Sport, etc.).
Either way, I also think I'd be far more inclined to go for driving experience rather than performance numbers.

BTW, the Michelin Sport cups they use put down impressive numbers. But think about the tread wear and replacement cost!

Very expensive, designed to last less than 5K miles...
.... the Boss is a beast too for $44-$48K, not to thread-jack too far... I'd take one of the Stangs, hell... ANY car on here you can't go wrong!!!

Yeah, the GT500 will have a new supercharged 5.8 with 650 hp. That's vette territory.
