I remember I was carrying 45K cash in my car and drove to CA to buy my LS430, that was fun!

And in your case, if you don't feel like carrying cash, just go check out the car and go to a local bank to withdraw the money and pay the buyer. Unless it's on a weekend or there isn't any of your bank in the area.

i assume you have bank account with a national bank. if you get from car dealership, go check out the car, if good, go to back and get cashier check, done. dealerships should be able to accept that.

if you get the car from individual, go with the person to your bank together, get in line, teller, and get the cashier check in front of the person. that way he feels safe too

I do not deal with a national bank. I am with a state bank and also a local credit union.

Go look at car, if you like, go to bank with seller and fiish transaction there as stated.

Bank cashiers check is your next bet instead of a certified cashiers check.

If the person won't take a certified check, f**** them and go find another car. They're probably shady anyway and trying to screw you over.

Ya, after talking to my bank about it, It looks like Cashiers check might be the way to go. To wire the money, it sounds like I would have to wire the money ahead of time, to their account ?
