Default Trade for an 06 350Z?

I had an interview at Mini of Tempe, the other day, but decided to go to Power Nissan to check out a 350Z. It's an 06, 4 owner car with 86k miles on it. 6 Speed with black cloth interior and a clean car fax. They are asking $15,995. Also, they said the trade in value of my '95 SC300 with 138k miles, okay shape..not great by any means would be around $3,000. Just in the past two months I've put a little over $2,400 in it, still needs a new rear main seal and valve cover seals. Should I keep the SC, keep putting money in it and continue to drive it? Or trade for the Z and make payments.

I would keep the SC300 unless you can afford to make the payments. 350z's are a lot of fun, especially with the 6-speed.

I heard that there are some design flaws in Z car. I'm not sure what they are, but you can do some research.

Sell your SC300 private party and get a little more out of it.
Also, did you test drive the Z already? I hated the clutch, but maybe it was because I was coming from an S2000 clutch.

It isn't very prudent to be taking out a loan to purchase a six-year-old car with 86k miles. Keep the SC. Or buy a newer, low-mileage car.

2006 350Zs, I was told, have the Rev-Up engine. It seems to be hit and miss with these, with some owners complaining of excessive oil burning and others having no issues at all.

I, too, was looking at a 2006 350Z a few months ago. Looking to replace my current DD, the 240SX. But I'm waiting to test drive the FR-S.

id keep the SC or if you do decide to get a Z least sell the SC private party to get more out of it. If you keep looking around im sure you'll find one with less miles and lower price as well.

Your SC worth more than 3000. Sell it private party. As to the 350Z, you can find better with 15K. Keep looking.

I'd save up to make the difference up for an 09 370z. I can tell you as someone who has driven quite a few Zs, the 370z completely blows the 350z out of the water.
